Ein Hase fällt versehentlich in ein großes Weinfass. Er ruft lange Zeit panisch um Hilfe, als plötzlich ein Fuchs vorbeikommt. Der Fuchs verspricht ihm, ihn aus dem Fass herauszuziehen, aber nur wenn er verspricht, dass er danach nicht wegläuft. Der Hase verspricht ihm dies und wird kurzerhand vom Fuchs an den Armen gepackt und herausgezogen. Als er jedoch draußen ist, nutzt er die Gelegenheit und läuft mit schnellen Schritten davon. Der Fuchs schreit ihm hinterher: "Sag mal spinnst du, du hattest mir versprochen, nicht abzuhauen." "Ach Gott!", ruft der Hase und zuckt mit den Achseln, "Was man im Suff nicht alles sagt."
